Options for a fallible child [Type](https://evolu.dev/docs/api-reference/common/Type/interfaces/Type) created by [brand](https://evolu.dev/docs/api-reference/common/Type/functions/brand) or
[createType](https://evolu.dev/docs/api-reference/common/Type/functions/createType).

## Properties

<a id="path"></a>

### path

```ts
readonly path: Path;
```

Defined in: [packages/common/src/Type.ts:2313](https://github.com/evoluhq/evolu/blob/bc4578a260dd15d5bbf94b83765ca05984d194cb/packages/common/src/Type.ts#L2313)

Locates the child's own error within the validated value.

[typeErrorToIssues](https://evolu.dev/docs/api-reference/common/Type/functions/typeErrorToIssues) and Standard Schema validation report the error at
this path instead of at the value itself, so a rule spanning several
properties, such as a range whose maximum must not be below its minimum,
shows its message at one form field. The error itself is unchanged, and
inherited errors keep their own paths.

The path names keys of the parent Output, so under [objectKeys](https://evolu.dev/docs/api-reference/common/Type/functions/objectKeys) it
names the decoded keys, not the external names.
